It's noisy for the last spin and you need to make sure you use 59 mins rather than 30 mins or so , the 14 mins won't wash clothes

if one forgets to put something in machine, just press pause wait 2 min until door unlocks. Put item in and continue wash.

Not if the drum is full of water you can't. My hotpoint unlocks the door as soon as the drum stops, but not if the drum is full of water, but agree it's a waste paying loads more for one of these over a normal one just for the convenience.

My washing machine never fills its drum above the bottom of the door except on certain wool washes, and immediately unlocks the door when you press pause and the drum stops on the rest, so yes, it's just a gimmick which results in an extremely ugly looking washing machine to boot.
