It's a good price. does anyone know if the wireless remote for this works with the current Roku 2/3? it's different from the roku 3 remote and the 2 remote uses IR.

Anyone know how the performance/speed on this compares with the original (white) and new (black) Now TV boxes?

The stick is real quick and good for stuff like Netflix and Amazon etc. I've had a couple and if you only intend on using it for the obvious streaming apps , then it's probably not worth looking at any other Roku devices, as the stick is easily good enough for the basic video streaming apps.
Before buying one, from anywhere, do a Google or YouTube search for 'Roku Streaming stick remote pairing problem'. There can be some real headaches pairing the remote, as it uses a form of problematic P2P wifi, unlike the infrared on most of their devices.

it will be a lot slower than the black nowtv boxes - those are lightning fast. I have not compared the stick to the white boxes.

Good price but I'd rather have android/google play/kodi compatible stick. One of the reviews says can't get even get BBC radio!

There's a way to stream BBC radio, install the Tunein radio app on the Roku. Can even sync your favourite channels with the Tunein phone app. You can even use BBC Radio iPlayer via the TV Cast app, navigate to the catch up radio prog you want on phone, play it through the Roku. Ditto for many TV streaming services. Mind you Amazon Fire stick can do these things too.

If you use a smartphone and app like TV Cast to start the stream, all of BBC Radio iPlayer is available. Meanwhile for live radio, BBC, commercial and and from around the world, install Tunein app on the Roku which will work from its remote.
Also using the YouTube app on your phone to kick off YouTube streams on the Roku is very slick.

This is an excellent, I replaced a now tv smart box with this and Imo this is head and shoulders better than it.
it has now tv, prime tv and Netflix, and all work well. only slight negative is uv films will be hard to watch soon when wuaki tv drops support for them.
