Phoned up EE at renewal of one of my contracts and quoted this deal and they matched it plus they included unlimited texts so definitely worth asking if it's renewal time.
Kinda weird that they price match each other since they are both owned by BT now anyway iirc

I reckon one of the best really cheap deals ever has to be this one, which I've been on since last August. It automatically transferred to Plusnet when they took over, & thankfully continued at the same price:
Yep my daughter on this one, I'm on the 3Gb Unlimited texts 1500 mins £10'

I'd agree been better deals from plusnet than the OPs one but certainly when they were life mobile you could easily switch to the better uswitch deals as they come out so should be same. £5.95 is all I pay and it serves all my needs.

I reckon the award for the best though, has to go to the one several of us got with Life Mobile last June, 4k minutes, 5k texts, 4GB data for £1 per month, that too has transferred to Plusnet  The only problem is that it is 3G data and I find the 3G coverage to be poor on EE.

Ruddy hell!.
Looks like I missed out on a proper 1 there last June, huh?, WOW! (I don't know what happened to me there?), that's a shame!. :-(
Bad 3G in your area you say?, no big!, I'm more than fine with 3G in my area, so ..... (sell it to me instead?, job done?!) hehehehehe. ;-)

I got the 2k minutes, 5k texts and 1gb data for the £1 and they have already taken the 9th month's payment. Life mobile back then honoured the deal and said they'll be contacting everyone who got the deal to negotiate a more appropriate price after 6 months...but I guess plusnet taking over has played in our favour where the 6 months negotiation didn't happen and looks like we're going to be keeping the £1 deal for alot longer :innocent:

Yep, probably can't be bothered as they know sooner or later people will want 4G and looking on their website it seems they are not offering 4G to any former Life Mobile customers without changing to a Plusnet offering. Either that or after a while they will tell all former Life Mobile customers that they are ending the old tariffs and they need to transfer onto a Plusnet one.
As for the 3G, according to their coverage maps, 3G should be great in my area, but I am forever finding I don't get a data signal indoors or in built up areas, worse still often getting a weak signal full stop indoors, yet my GiffGaff sim is constantly full signal. Perhaps it is partly my phones fault in which case my new phone which should be sorted in the next couple of days may help. 3G is plenty fast enough for me when it works.

Good deal, I voted hot.
It's probably worth mentioning you get a free Sim with Talk Talk giving you a few hundred minutes, unlimited texts and 500mb data.
All these are useful backup sims.

Do you have to be a talk talk customer to get that free sim deal?

We shall see what the future holds for us £1 tariffers  as for 3g data I live in London, so luckily for 3g signal is not an issue...plus I'm ok with 3g as I only use mobile data for messaging (no images or video downloads and no video calls)...so I will be transferring my number from Vodafone to the £1 sim I got from life mobile in May, as it'll save me £49 per month! but I am looking for a good cheap deal to give to my daughter to use on travels to and from her secondary school...this deal looks good for a fiver or the BT one for a fiver with 500 minutes per month as I am a BT infinity customer...
