Don't think you need this if your car has air conditioning as this takes the moisture out of the air.
See a lot of people with fogged up screens and think they must have their blower fans off or the air recycling button on.

Car air-con generally doesn't work below about 2-3 degrees (depending on car manufacturer) as they disable the compressor below that temperature. I thought it was to avoid damage in the winter, but maybe also to save fuel as the air is cold enough. That means you've no air drier yet coincidentally, that's when you're most likely to have condensation in your car and could do with the drier running...
These bags are pretty good, but I had better results with a much larger one I bought from Halfords that lasted over a year before it stopped making a difference. Only problem was, there was no way to re-charging it. I tried radiators, oven, microwave, but ended up throwing it out and buying these.
They're just alright, but at that price, hot!

I have three of these (one for each car in the family) and I think they're great. Even if your car has air con you can still get a build up of condensation on the windscreen when you're parked overnight (depending on the atmospheric conditions). These little things really do work and I've never woken up to a misted windscreen since I've had them. You just have to remember to "recharge" them by putting them in the microwave or sitting them on a radiator for a couple of hours when the blue circle on the bag turns pink. I paid about £6 each for mine so this is a great price.

Would this work in my kitchen cupboards I wonder. I live in an end of terrace and all my cabinets get really damp in winter and the refillable dehumidifiers are costing me an arm and a leg

It sounds like you need an electric dehumidifier. It is well worth the initial outlay. We haven't had any issues with damp or condensation since getting one. We have a 'meaco' branded one which is great.

Get the damp problem fixed?

I haven't tried them indoors but I can't see why they wouldn't work. If they can dehumidify an entire car then I would imagine they could easily dehumidify a cupboard. Alternatively, have you tried just leaving the cupboard doors open overnight?

Why is this listed as a tesco direct deal ? It's no good to most, but a tesco direct deal is available to all.

Thank you for pointing this out. I've just realised it's listed under a Tesco direct deal. It was probably because an auto-text when I posted this. I think I need moderator to edit this. I couldn't update the Merchant.

Thanks for that might just buy one and see how it goes. left the cupboards open but that's not helped as three other gardens butt up to my kitchen wall so the soil from that makes the wall cool. I open the doors and windows when cooking but no use it's just 3 bottom cupboards the furthest point of the house which have an issue. was considering putting a sheet of insulation in the back of the cupboard and see if that helps at all.
