You could say the same thing about the FIFA, PES, WWE and other annually released games. I've never seen anyone says such thing. The title and description all comes from original listings.

I'm really not sure what the best karaoke game these days though ?

We've got this and it's good in that it at least measures your tone.
Just Sing (which we also have) appears to just measure your timing - so you can be howling like an alley cat (as I do) and beat all the decent singers in the family (as I do) every time. The major issue with Just Sing is that if we use our phones as a mic it's fine, but if we use a proper USB mic it feeds your voice back to you really loud with a slight delay which is really off-putting.
Problem with this game for us is the terrible song choice and lack of songs. Just Sing does have more, and they are better.
Don't have any experience of any others. Wouldn't pay more than a tenner for ether of these two games.
Of note, is that the Wii mic is perfect for PS4 - long lead, works really well.

I do own the Just Sing and I can confirm what you are saying. We play that together, me and my wife and my 3 years old. Guess who beats everyone? The 3 years old who does not sing at all and just trying to chew the ipad instead. :/ I ordered a copy of this one, I hope it is not the same as Just sing as you mentioned.

Nipper loves this.
I find the mic sounds really quiet on it though (and yes, I am turning it all the way up - both in game and in the PS4 settings).
