This thread highlights precisely the problem with modern gaming. There is an obsession of graphical power over gameplay. I tend to buy all if not most consoles each generation (although I haven't had a Xbox for a while as I have a gaming PC and find that with Ps4 enough).
There is something magical about Nintendo games and I maybe I am being too nostalgic but I personally want the Nintendo experience when I play a Zelda or a Mario. The experience and gameplay is infinitely more important with these games than let's throw out over the top visuals. Nintendo games are not like "real life" games whereby you need to see each eye lash and the eye mucus. They are cell style textures.

Slightly off-topic so apologies. But I had a hands on experience with the Switch at a pre-launch event in Birmingham on Sunday including 30 minutes on Zelda BOTW. The machine is pricey but very well put together. The screen is very nice and the Joycons are brilliant as is the Pro controller. And what can I say about Zelda BOTW other than it is mind blowing. I for one cannot wait to get my hands on it!

On this site you have to fight off the Nintendo Switch price haters first. They feel because Nintendo didn't price it sub £200 they will boycott the franchise.

The Switch is very divisive on here, lot's of people are of the opinion it's overpriced in general and the accessories especially so that's why the cold votes. Don't take it personally, some of us do appreciate the effort :smiley:
