Better than usual price for McDougalls. But well over-priced
Aldi/Lidl 45p for 1.5kg
Tesco value 55p for 1.5kg
Most supermarket own-label plain/self-raising flours 70-80p

The cheaper prices you quote are the budget options. Good value but not necessarily as good quality. I usually buy Morrisons own 80p for 1.5 kg so a premium brand like McDougalls for not much more I consider a bargain.

34% more with the weight difference taken into account. Makes quite a difference.
