If you have ever wanted to take your family to both New York and Orlando check-out this deal in August school holidays that allows you to see both cities. I have just helped a friend book an almost identical trip for her family, a teenager that has always wanted to go to NY and another daughter who wanted to go to Disney, this may interest those wanting a similar trip. It is likely to be a busy trip combining both cities, so not for the faint hearted!
Flights are with Virgin and you'll arrive into New York on the 18/08. You'll spend 3 nights in NY. There is a great deal on the Chelsea Savoy hotel, just less than half a mile to the Empire state building, right in the heart of Manhattan.
On 21/08 you'll fly to Orlando direct with Delta. You will stay for 9 nights at the Clarion Lake Buenos Vista which has good reviews, a shuttle bus and rates include breakfast.
You can easily use another agent. There are flights for £1138 for 4 that have a direct Virgin outbound flight with travelpack.com and the same return flight.

Good deal but budget at at least the same again for spending money plus another £1200 to £2000 for theme park tickets if visiting the parks. Still good for school hols though

We did 2 week disney park passes.
1 day 2 park Universal
1 day discovery cove including dolphin encounter
1 day Kennedy Space Center
Not bothering with Busch this time.
For this coming easter. Destroyed the budget, but it's only money.

Another really well thought out deal, great price for the school holidays
If you're not especially fussed with the hotel in particular that you want, I discovered the other day that Hotwire now allow you to book their secret deals for adults + children to get the right sized room - I'm sure used to be just 2 people per room guaranteed, same as Priceline.
