Loyalty means nothing these days - its just the race for new customers . Had the same thing with Car Insurance with Hastings . Renewal notice £220 - so I checked the compare sites - could get it for £160 (same cover ,same excess etc) guess who with -Hastings  . Rang them up told them where they could stuff their renewal and why . They told me they would match that quote . I then gave them a lecture on loyalty to existing customers and requested that my comments (the polite ones) be forwarded to senior management . Ended up paying £7 more from AA insurance . Its not about the money its about the way they think their customers are idiots ! How many customers , especially the elderly and those without internet access , just blindly pay the renewal ? Hope I've done my small part in making them think twice about it and if we all did the same they might rethink .
Sorry rant over  There is no such thing as loyalty to long term customers these days - get used to it

Been with TSB forever, so I'm not eligible. This kind of thing really gets my goat...I'd leave for pastures new if their was a decent bank with a branch within five miles of my home!

Again I agree . Years ago I used to enjoy getting what I considered a "deal" . Frankly now I find it a pain to have to go through compare sites every year for car insurance ,home and contents insurance ,motorbike insurance , energy , broadband etc etc. But you have to do it otherwise you end up paying up to 30% more if you just accept the renewals . OK for me and you , but what about the hundreds of thousands (mainly elderly) who just pay up as they believe their provider is loyal to them ? Sorry it annoys me - not for myself ,but for the thousands who cannot shop around .

Can you convert an existing classic account to the new one?
Is there a way of using the Card 20 times with a minimum spend over the internet?

Last 5% cashback offer expires 30/9/17. I'll phone them then to cancel, unless they agree to switch to that offer. Unless there's a new switch and TCB offer from another bank available then (I've done all the current ones :smirk: )

I hear your pain  but quite easy really . Just go round the Supermarket 3or 4 times on each visit (just costs a bit of shoe leather ) do the weekly shop in 4 smaller chunks using your card each time - Just a bit of Lateral thinking required

So your not eligible if you already have accounts with tsb? I was hoping to get this set up but I've been with tsb for quite a number of years
Can't see anything that says new customers only?

Have to have a look at this . Just noticed my 5% (on the first £100 each month) on swipe payments finished on 31 Dec last year . Still got 2 accounts paying (reduced from 5%) 3% on a (reduced from £2000) balance of £1500 . Was getting (2 accounts ) 5% on £4000 - now getting 3% on £3000 .. Still better than a kick in the teeth these days , don't think this deal will help me - but voted hot for those it may help .
