This is not a deal, it's the normal price for this TV. Anyone voting hot simply does not know the price of these and is being tricked into thinking Wow UHD for £300... but that's always the price of this TV!

It was £230 on Amazon not that long ago, now that was a good price if you want a low build quality TV with suspect quality assurance processes.

If you are in east Lancashire you are welcome to come and have a look at my Toshiba 4K and I could take you round to see that very model of Finlux that my friend bought two weeks ago :smiley:

Pretty sure there was a news item on Click the other week stating that all TV manufacturers were dropping 3D.

Well I shall have to take a look at this, I've not yet got into 4K TV's so only going by what you see online and need to see it myself. No doubt 4K TV's will become pretty much the standard as manufacturers move over to it across their ranges of TVs.

There's no doubt that a 4K TV of this size for around £300 is stupidly cheap and hard to ignore.

I am amazed at how my 4K Toshiba upscales even SD to look almost as good as HD did on my earlier HD TV, not as good as 4K but a big improvement.

A friend has just been round and he was saying that he could not see the point of 3D but admitted he had not seen any recently. I put jungle Book in 3D on my Toshiba and he admitted it was worth having and he has a 4K Panasonic LED TV.

I then put Warcraft on at 4K and he agreed that it almost looked like 3D so if they had done full 4K in 3D we would have the best viewing experience possible to date. Unfortunately it is looking like only those of us with projectors will be able to enjoy 3D soon, if the manufacturers do end up dropping all production of 3D TVs.

If you know how to watch them there are plenty of movies available in 3D and also plenty in 4K but none combining them yet from what I can see.

4K does look superb, you're absolutely right but how much 4K is there to watch compared to regular definition or full HD? not much at the moment, of course that will slowly change.

More important to many is how does a 4K TV display regular definition and high definition images? - some suggest non HD looks terrible on 4K TVs. I must be honest, I've not got one and not seen a 4K tv displaying SD programming and I dare say no shop will ever do that intentionally.

Only those that have not seen a modern day 4K display showing 4K content.
Anyone who has actually seen 4K in action, even on a cheap set will instantly be convinced, even if they were previously a brand snob.

Going from a Panasonic plasma to this would be like going from a Mercedes to a Kia.

Yep saw the same TV at £79, new seller with zero feedback. People need to stay well clear of these cons

There was a wise-guy new Amazon seller that listed these at £140 + delivery.
Ordered swiftly on phone (knowing that I could cancel with Amazon when I got to a desktop and read the details) then saw that the marketplace seller had zero feedback, had quite a few of these, called themself 'Finlux TV' and was from Canada.
I'm not regretting cancelling, as I don't think I've missed a proper deal.

Not good really. I got it at 229 and sent it back. it seems to do subsampling all the time. send it a full rgb 4:4:4 picture and it displays it like a compressed video in 4:2:2. greens look fine but red and blue circles and lines had a blockiness around them. it was a bit laggy too compared to my 5 year old lg. and for some reason the backlight is about half a cm behind the screen so when you're close edge pixels aren't lit..pretty poxy build quality too. really thick for a modern TV.

I doubt a parole officer would do that.

Got this last month for £229 on Amazon, replacing my plasma. Great picture, but sound poor, so you'll need a sound bar as well.

Was £229 from Amazon, but this now seems to be around the normal price for this and other Vestel tvs with various badges like hitachi, polaroid etc. My tv had to be replaced as it had a software problem. If you look at Amazon for reviews for this, they are mostly 5* and 1*, really good or very bad. Apps are very limited as well, but if it suits its a lot cheaper than your sonys etc if your on a budget or a bedroom tv.

Must of been a 3rd party seller as free delivery if from amazon direct
