INB4 the "servers are shutting down" comments... The server shutdown only effects online gameplay, it wont affect anything to do with this playset

I have Disney infinity 2.0 and 3.0 on the PS4 for my son, but if I understand correctly the Cars playset is incompatible with 2.0 and 3.0 because it's 1.0?

The figures will but the playset won't. To play a 1.0 playset you need the 1.0 software which isn't on the PS4.

So the figures work, he has the speedway playset but it doesn't look like we would be able to use the Cars playset on the PS4.

Any figure from any version works in a Disney Infinity 3.0 toybox, and the wiki for the speedway toy box confirms that "Any playable character may enter it.". Playsets only work with the version of the software they were made for though, no forward or backward compatibility (*though if you place a previous version playset on a later version software in the toybox hub it will unlock a bunch of toybox items for you to use to build stuff, that's it, nothing else)
good deal £5 in Smyth's if you have one nearby along with a couple of others.

I've seen Character triple packs in smyths for £5 but i haven't seen any playsets like these for £5, in fact i haven't seen any 1.0 playsets in smyths in quite a while
