Good price for a silver rated bike lock IMO, I have just started cycling to work and will keep this in the work bike rack to lock up every day.
Possibly a bit heavy to carry around all the time for occasional trip out, as is the case with a lot of the better bike locks.

Silver rating means most bikes up to £1k will be covered by insurance (if you have it). Hot.

Don't forget to regularly grease all keyholes and moving/connectible parts to stop the tealeaves from super gluing your Lock's!

Looks like a decent lock and its from decathlon who are pretty decent for cheap but good kit.
Although despite it saying its Sold Secure Silver, thats now IMO not a deciding factor to buy a bike lock. I have a written statement from them saying that they do not test all locks. YES!!! THEY DO NOT test all locks that carry their sold secure rating.
I am in the process of returning a sold secure gold rated lock that can be compromised in less than 20 seconds with a metal bar.

All locks can be picked by a Locksmith or somebody who knows what they are doing , the point is to act as a deterrence, so they nick the bike next to you instead. Ops lock looks a good buy , especially when compared
to the Halfords one on here earlier.
Unfortunately I cannot upload the picture right now, but the best deterrent against a thief nicking your pride and joy was a very thin wire going round the crossbar and then around what ever you want say a railing/ vertical post. The wire is then attached to the pin of a hand grenade !

Spend couple of more quids and get a reputed gold secure lock. I bought this one from Amazon warehouse for 14£
I tried to cut one of these locks off using a set of 42" high tensile industrial bolt croppers.
basically a set as long as your leg. (£315)
it snapped the bolt cropper head in half.
brilliant lock.

Its such a shame we live in a era where so many thieves are loose, compared to 100 years ago. My grandma always told me that they'd leave the house/bikes anything unlocked when unattended and wouldn't be pinched.
Its true, no matter what lock you have, a proper thief will get what they want if he/she wants it. And these days theres far too many thieves about.
Coming on to this deal, it looks stupidly chunky to happily carry it about on your bike when not in use?.

I've got this lock and it's extremely chunky which maybe good as it will deter bolt cutters, but it is quite impractical unless you have a skinny frame road bike. I don't think you could lock a wheel and frame with a post easily. I only have hybrid bikes which generally have fat frames and wheels so the best I could do with this is lock the frame. It does have a nice rubbery coating so it shouldn't scratch your paint work. It's also quite heavy, but that's to be expected with U Locks.
Still, quite cheap and worth a look if you need a lock.

Now out of stock online, but available in plenty of Decathlon stores.
Will leave as "active" so that others might see and reserve locally.

As Decathlon demonstrate in their video, all of these locks, silver or gold can be easily cut off with a battery angle grinder within a couple of minutes. As has been said, your best bet is to be more secure than the next bike, so terms of security two of these silver locks would be more secure than one gold lock.
They would weigh a ton to carry though, so I leave locks at the places where I regularly lock my bike (e.g at work). You just have to keep them lubed against the weather or they seize up.
