Same here I preordered at the old £34.99 in the hope they would reduce it and sure enough my order updated to £28-£2 = £26! Very pleased with that. I know that Flubit might still come in slightly cheaper BUT flubit are VERY prone to cancelling orders on a whim, they take payment upfront and are often sluggish to dispatch, so for the sake of ~£1-2 I'll stick with Amazon....

Well I got it for £23.95 from Flubit so there, I win! :stuck_out_tongue: Apparently according to Flubit it's already awaiting dispatch too despite not being out for another three months. Just hope they don't screw up and cancel it....

Just seen in the T&Cs, if you pre-ordered any game before October 2016, then the £2 discount doesn't apply! So I've just re-ordered it while it's still £28/£26. I emailed customer services first about it and useless "Dhanalakshmi" thought I was on about the Pre-Order Price Guarantee :disappointed:

Tempted but will wait for it to be reduced to about £20 about a month or so after release.
Crash Team Racing online would have been amazing.

Yep, they dropped the ball with CTR, one of the best racing games I've ever played! If they ported it over with HD graphics, more tracks and weapons/gadgets I'd buy it in a flash!

I've had it pre-ordered since 8th July 2016 when it was £49.99, it's now showing £28.00 but for some reason hasn't taken the £2 off like everyone else's to make it £26

Not sure if anyone remembers but back in Jan there was an offer for something thing like Pre order 2 games and get a tenner off. Well those who Pre ordered crash bandicoot under that offer has had it reduced all the way to £22.65. so far looking good, could drop even more.

That's because the rrp was only announced recently at £34.99 so it was always going to be priced at around £30 online. It's creeping under £30 with companies fighting for the pre-orders for it.

I think it was £50 pretty much everywhere so it has dropped alot.

I'll wait until the obviously price drop. Shouldn't take more than a few weeks.

It's dropped a load already it was £35-£39 originally, still if it continues it could well be £20-£25 by it's release and I thought it was a bargain even at £35 considering it's a full on remaster of three full games, not just a touch up job...

When does amazon take payment for pre-orders?
ST3123 to macleanie
28 Feb 17#22
Not until dispatch, hence why they are one of the best places for pre-orders, especially if you have prime...

I won't be surprised if the pre-order £2 bonus will come back closer to launch, it has done for other games. Yooka Laylee is one. Little Nightmares another.

Yakuza 0 was also added later to the promotion.
I'm gonna hold out and see if they do add it again. Maybe if enough people moan at them

do you order at £28 and later on it changes to £26 thanks for any help

only seems like it works for those who already had it preordered or were lucky enough to order before amazon got rid of the prime discount

No it won't, as they've taken it out of the £2 pre order discount promotion. If you order now, it will be £28.
Just spoke to them on chat and wouldn't budge even though I told them other people got the discount.

I preordered on Amazon when it was still £35 and got the £2 discount.
Just checked and the new price of £28 has been applied to the order as well as the £2 discount so the total is now £26

The prime discount is a funny one, trying to find the T&C's for it but can't find the link, but basically if it's not listed on a certain page, it's not part of the promotion. Seems to be down to Amazon deciding, best thing to try is go on chat and have a whinge at them. They might sort it, or give you £2 credit to use
2. The offer is available only to Prime customers who place a pre-order or order one or more of the products displayed on www.amazon.co.uk/gamesave and sold by Amazon on the website http://www.amazon.co.uk. Purchases made from Amazon's Warehouse Deals or from third-party sellers on Amazon Marketplace do not qualify for the offer.
