I have to pay for fuel for any shop I travel to, not just Costco. My experience is that my membership pays for itself very quickly, after that I'm saving money on the stuff I tend to buy. The bakery stuff is excellent as are meat and deli type stuff, generally they don't sell rubbish so your quality is assured, their returns policy is excellent. You can always get stuff cheaper if you work hard at it or you can turn up there and buy the stuff knowing you've got pretty much the best price, the queues at chechouts look big but the staff are so good that you rarely wait more than five minutes even when the bloke in front has just bought a Transit load.
No, I don't work there!

By the time you've bought your fuel and got round Costco you've spent at least £200. That's my experience anyway
