Opened up Paintshop Pro 7 today and got an offer to buy Paintshop X9 Ultimate for £11.99! This is for the full version [not an upgrade] and currently comes with FastFlick. Plus the ultimate version of X9 includes Aftershot 3 which is a lot more expensive on its own. Needless to say I finally decided to buy X9. Looks like this offer isn't available from the website so I assume it only pops up when you open an old version of the program and so are already a user.
Weirdly if you choose the Upgrade option its more expensive [£53.99] but thats fine with me because it means I can give my copy of Paintshop X7 to a friend.

I posted a similar deal a little while ago, I got the upgrade for £19.99 offer and found a way to remove certain bits of the weblink so anyone could use it and get the full version for that price. It may be possible if the OP can do the same (I found that when I clicked on the program's pop up window it briefly displayed the weblink which I screen shot then manually typed and worked out how anyone could get the same link. Sadly they've stopped my link working after several months.
Edit: OK, I should've read the text fully instead of skimming :stuck_out_tongue:. Seems a bit odd that you'd link to the website & then say it's not available. :confused:

I got this last night (£11.99) from PSP X6 Ultimate.
After installing V9 Ultimate, it crashed. The next time, it asked me if I wanted to upgrade to the "Ultimate" edition and poped up ads for other software. Sigh. Not voting until I can work out if its any good.

Did you uninstall your old version? I literally just had the same problem where x9 crashed after installing but it looks like this was because it was confliciting with x7 which I still had installed. After uninstalling that it worked fine.
From the sounds of it, it looks like you have to be an existing user with X7 or below.

I've just tried installing my old PSP X3 on a virtual machine to see if it gives me an upgrade option (again) but it says I've used up my installations for that serial so I can't try it.
When you get the pop up upgrade you have to quickly capture the info, although it goes to a webpage, the window is locked down to hide the usual web address, stop, forward, refresh options so no easy way to see the web info.... but I noticed if flashed up the web url briefly before going to the purchase page..... that's how I retrieved the web url, removed my PC machine reference from the web address and found a page that worked for anyone. A bit sneaky but hey it worked!

Note that the Ultimate versions does NOT give the program any different boot up screen or such like, it's identical to the non Ultimate version but comes with extra 'free' programs including After Shots (But not After Shots Pro) and other assorted junk. It also initially tries to get you to upgrade to Ultimate but after you use the software it stops offering the upgrade as it seems to realise it IS the Ultimate version.
You can also get 11.5% cashback potentially from Top Cashback - use the popup upgrade window and add the item to your basket, then go to Topcashback, search Corel, follow through and you should see you item in the basket. I did this and got my cashback on top of the highly discounted price :smile:
