Got this in Norwich on Thursday along with Ice Age 3 and the Artist on blu ray too. Can't grumble for £1 a film.

I picked up American hustle a few months ago from Poundland Northampton they had loads at the time. I Frankenstein 3D was about all worth mentioning in there this weekend though

Why don't you actually download the rips on these apps and see how 'HD' they really are.
Perhaps the OP thought £1 wasn't too bad a deal for a proper video transfer with real audio?
