I haven't really been keeping a eye on the price of this but I'm pretty sure it's the cheapest I've ever seen it, Looking at camelcamelcamel (I'm sure they could of chose a better name than that) it's the cheapest amazon have sold it for. It works out at £2.83~ a season not taking in to account the redemption movie included a steal in my book for a great series.
The blurb-
Among the most innovative one-hour dramas ever to explode onto the small screen, 24 has exhilarated viewers and critics worldwide for eight electrifying seasons. Emmy® winner Kiefer Sutherland* stars as counter-terrorism agent Jack Bauer, whose rogue tactics constantly pit him against his superiors.
With tension-filled storylines unfolding in real time and a brilliant cast that includes Dennis Haysbert, Elisha Cuthbert, Mary Lynn Rajskub, Carlos Bernard and Cherry Jones, 24 remains ine of TV's most talked-about series.

Wow...you managed to come out with every DVD deal cliche there is, all in one post! (can get it on Netflix, who buys DVDs?, you'll only watch once, etc..)
How about someone who doesn't have (or want) to pay for Netflix, but has a DVD player and hasn't seen this show before? There are literally dozens of examples where this set would appeal.
The "who buys DVDs anymore?" question is perhaps the most moronic. In answer to your question - almost 100 million DVDs were sold last year in the UK alone. Otherwise they wouldn't make them would they??! Bonehead

This is a great price and gives you autonomy over the online providers should they decide to remove it. This is a great show and I have watched it 3 times already. Best option is on Sky where you get digital and did but almost double the price here. Thanks for finding.

I have this boxset and its great value. Its NOT on Netflix. I checked the other day as I wanted to avoid getting the discs out if i could. I rewatch the show almost every year because theres nothing quite like it. Along with SG-1, its one of my favourite 'old' shows (although i hear a new spinoff is due to premier soon).

You only need to watch it once.
8162 minutes of entertainment for less than £23.
Compare that to the price of a ticket to a Premier league football match, where you get 90 minutes and likely to pay more.
Do the math.

Each series is £1 (on DVD) in That's Entertainment. Classed as 'Replay' (ex rental / used), but if you're not bothered, it's a great price.

I am a 24 fan through and through, but season one is still the best of them all, it was cutting edge TV that had never been done before, with a real time clock and a twist NOBODY seen coming which is hard to do in TV these days!
Unfortunately they were never able to replicate the story and twists in future seasons they almost tried to hard, and things become insanely ludicrous in later episodes, but if you suspend disbelief the Jack Bauer power hour is some excellent fun TV!

One of the best U.S. tv shows ever. Period.
I recall paying £39.99 per season when they were first released on DVD so this is incredible value!
24: Legacy premieres across the pond tonight. I fear it won't be anything like as good as the original show. Hope I'm wrong otherwise they shouldn't have included 24 in the title!

Plus it had red London buses, Cockneys, the Houses of Parliament, The London Eye, River Thames, black cabs, stupid unarmed London coppers, an English pub, bad weather and inner-city tower blocks.
And if that wasn't enough, we were kindly reminded it was set in "London, England" at every opportunity

I own all seasons and I've watched about 3xs now but i definitely see its always worth waiting. Who remembers play.com when it was actually a good site, every January just as the new season starts, 24 each season would be 17.99, crazy how you can get the entire lot for 22.99

Great value for the amount of viewing you get, even if I did grow tired of it towards the end - seriously just how hard is it to kill Jack Bauer? :P
And for anyone going down the "but you can get it on xyz streaming service for £x per month". 8 series, 24 episodes each - even at a couple of episodes a night (because lets face it, with 24 you can't watch just 1 episode :P ) you will still be watching this in 3 months time.

After a lackluster Season 6, I think it was safe to say that the writers and producers of the show had a clear opportunity to start over and start fresh. And they did. What we got was a smart, tight, and extraordinarily acted season with the same raging action and plot twists but still with a different feel to it
