Just got back from the co-op and picked up a 16 roll pack of velvet toilet roll for a fiver, not a bad deal.
Seems to be a national deal, no stickers just a proper promotional price

This isn't the normal 'bog-standard' price and is at the 'bottom' of the price scale for these.

Are these any good, the nicky rolls I get are kinda rough not as good as the ones with aloe. I've stopped using andrex ages ago and they were soft but expensive.

They were £3.75 for 16 in Tesco clearance on Saturday. No ideas if national.

As I said last time these were posted the 16pk I had of these was definitely inferior to the 9/4pk ones, confirmed by others- it's wasn't crap but not near the usual velvet standard either.

A hell of a lot is written on here about the merits of one roll or another, but frankly when scrunched up covered in **** at the bottom of the pan, it all looks pretty much the same.

I disagree. If it's too thin your fingers may end up smelling of poo, and if it's too thick will block the toilet (and also get less sheets per roll) ... so these are great, just right
