Just popped into Smyths to pick up a game for tonight. They've got GoW 4 pre-owned for £14.99.

Not surprised it's so cheap already. It's sold poorly and was a huge disappointment for me. The devs were promising great things before release and in the end we got another re-skinned Gears game.
It only just hit me that Gears 2 made the biggest changes to the franchise with taking hostages, crawling away whilst down but not out, tagging walls, holding shields, executions, tonnes of new weapons and probably a whole lot more I can't think of right now. Gears 3 was a refinement of all those systems and was also a fantastic game as a result.
Gears 4 offers literally nothing new apart from a better frame rate in multi-player. They've gotten rid of some of the best guns and replaced them with terrible new ones, shields are gone and the stupid Splatoon style skins make it look like a kids game.
Don't even get me started on the campaign. Utterly dull new characters with a predictable story that doesn't add anything new to the universe at all. It's ridiculous how the game has barely changed since Gears 2 in 2008. I actually replayed that after completing Gears 4 and apart from the graphics looking dated now the gameplay is actually far more enjoyable. Hell I played Gears Ultimate before Gears 4 and the graphics, art style and gameplay still feel far more refined and enjoyable than this.
Sorry for the rant but I literally purchased an Xbone S to play this game and it was such a massive disappointment. At under £15 it's worth a go but keep your expectations low. I'd put it second bottom of the pile, just above the abomination that was Gears: Judgement *shudders*

Pretty good price, I still gotta get through the end of gears 2, the 3rd one and judgement before I buy this.

It's a really good game. One of the few I've enjoyed from start to end.
Aye, they've done it for some time. They even have a few on their website.

 I only spotted them on the way out, to be fair mate. I actually went in for The Witcher 3 GOTY. They didn't have it :disappointed:
Walked out with Elder Scrolls Gold Edition.

Surprised you manage to sleep, let alone get out of the house judging by the number of game deals you post Buzz
