paid £50 for mine for xmas :-0...i actually reserved the blue (argos) but i only noticed xmas eve when wrapping presents it were this copper colour...too late to exchange it but kids were still happy with the colour.

Is this the S style controller or the updated original with the 3.5mm jack?

This controller is part of a range of three, I don't own this model but I've got the the Magenta one, the Magenta one has a textured grip but only on the backside of the handles. I've also got one of the new blue controllers, it has a textured grip that also wraps around the sides of the controller.

Another option is to track down a controller that has 'rubberised diamond grips', this has a more premium feel to it and comes on both Elite models as well as the Forza and Lunar white controllers. When Microsoft use this grip on a standard model they don't wrap it round the side of the handles like they do with the Elite pads. Actually prefer the texture on the Blue standard pad as it's far more subtle than the diamond one.
