I know very little about TomToms, but seems a decent saving if you're on the look out for one. Currently £105.95 at Amazon.

Heat from me. A great price that includes lifetime UK maps. I love my Start-60, although it is the older version (approx 4 years old). A superb piece of kit.
One caution, though. The Start-60 (and some other TomTom models) have been reported as suffering from erratic and random screen changes. TomTom remain largely silent on the matter. I had the problem, and solved it by replacing the touch-glass module. (Electronics knowledge/ability is required to make the repair). Some forum contributors say their Start-60 suffered from the 'erratic screen' problem from new. I'm not sure if the latest models still suffer from the fault.

I've had the earlier Start 60 for a few years and its been fine. At Christmas Tom Tom had an offer for a 12 month Speed Camera Update which I installed. However I'm not convinced its accepted as it keeps telling me speed camera update last made in 2013! I havant had the energy yet to try and find out whats going on, I like things to work first time!

I've got a tom tom via 135, about 4 years old. Is there much difference between them?

Hi ralph888,
The update speed camera 'last update 2013' is a well know fault with various TomTom,s
Contact TT Customer Services and they should be able to help you, or failing that post a message in the tomtom forums.
This particular model TT60 does suffer from touch screen problems depending on serial and batch.
Hope this helps

Heat for the price op; although I find Google maps pretty good and Here a good free app - also which works offline if you download the map.
That said if you want a dedicated sat nav then this seems like a great price to me.

Co-Pilot on a smartphone does the same thing and more yet is less than half the price of this.

Yup, you can do it on your phone; but I still much prefer my TomTom. Heated.

Presumably these aren't Internet connected, so can't reroute around traffic the way your phone can?
