Not sure if this posted before however some decent flight prices from London Gatwick to Dubai (DWC airport) which is approx 45 mins by car from Dubai International. This airport is only 20 mins to the Palm Jebel which gives an opportunity to be reasonably close to this area and hotels. There are various prices depending when you go but thought for £199 return (24/01- 01/02) its not too bad. Some later dates from Manchester pushing it up to £215. Of course still a bag to put in the hold so it will be more expensive to do that. Glasgow is £419 so quite a saving against our Northern friends.Might suit someone , somewhere !

Voted cold: by the time a hold bag has been added, a seat and a meal (all having to be paid for separately), many may find cheaper option with scheduled airlines. Bear in mind the extra costs have to be paid for the inbound and outbound flights. They are so many scheduled airlines that fly between the UK and Dubai, that competition is good and keeps prices low.
Only if you have no hold luggage, this might be a good deal.
Therefore, best to check alternative options on something like Skyscanner.

Meals are included , and luggage added for £50 return - show me on skyscanner a price close to that. Not everyone can afford Emirates etc and remember its a holiday airline !!!

Having used the Thomson Dubai manchester flight i would suggest you dont bother! delays out and the plane was sooo old the screens still played 'who wants to be a millionaire' and 'big bang' i watched going to USA 6 years ago!
Flight back 25hrs delay and left at airport (which is not main Dubai airport so v poor re communication and help) for NINE hours with kids before being shipped to a hotel..the rep was rude (people saying to him theyd been in the sirport since 7am and his response was 'so have i' (obv he was being paid tho  )
dont do it........a bunch of unprofessional jokers

Got to agree ,Thomsons not the best ,having said that recent Ba flight to Vegas was appalling .
Streets ahead are emirates a380 7 hour flew by faultless service.

Meals are included but luggage @ £60 is expensive
Recently flew to Phuket with Thomson without any issues.

I was at this Airport in December 2016. Its still being built. You are out in the middle of nowhere. I would suggest you fly into the main airport rather than this one. No staff apart from check in. You are on youre own. If anything happens you are really stuck.

The deal is about the flight price not the airport you fly into. The price is pretty good compared to what others are offering .

the price isnt the issue......all thomson flights the week we were there had issues. ALL DELAYED while other aircraft took off...the planes are old and knackered frankly..having been there and done it id not do it again or recommend it

I found a flight with Emirates for £299 from Birmingham... Better schedule, A380 service, luggage included, better airport (DXB not DWC) and probably better service. Not as cheap as Thomsons but I'd rather pay the £50 extra if I'm being honest...

Thats an excellent price for a return flight. Maybe you could supply dates etc and then post and i could give some heat
oh so we now aircraft engineers now. They are not as old as you would believe , BA, VIRGIN, LUFTHANSA are all flying 747 that are older than Thomson. Just cause its a well known airline , dont be fooled by the new paint and livery !!
