Is this any good? I've had a quick Google, watched a YouTube, never heard of it before.

I picked it up before christmas and have had a great time with it. It may look the same but it's very different to other MMO's in terms of progression and skilling up. A decent amount of quests are puzzle-based that require research if you don't have the worldly knowledge they are based on (alternatively you can use spoiler guides), all of the quests are preceded with a voice acted cut-scene, and you can (and will if you keep playing) unlock every skill in the game with one character so there is no need for alts unless you want to experience the over-arching story from one of the other 3 factions.
It's very clever and very well done, but it's a funcom game - also known for anarchy online and conan - so it can be quite clunky and the logic behind certain design decisions can be surreal on occasion. The combat system is fun, but not as ground-breaking as conan was, and ultimately the grind at the top end is real. But if you were to buy this just for the storyline of issues 1-11 then you have no need for any of the grind and will get good value for money. But then you're experiencing a mainly single player game and there's much better options on the market if you're limited for time.
FWIW I'm still playing and I am enjoying the grind whereas I usually hate it.

Depends on who you ask. Personally even the ultimate edition of this game is not worth the asking. Perhaps at a fiver but that's a big perhaps.

I don't think it is even worth £5. The combat is God awful, enemies are damage sponges and attacks are automatic so all you do is click an enemy and wait, maybe press a couple hot keys for skills, none of which feel any different to a normal attack
80% of quests are incredibly generic "kill x of this" "find y of that" "harvest Z of those". Only 20% have some sort of more hand tailored story telling with cutscenes and a bit of investigations which is enjoyable and why people like the secret world, but they're so rare that you spend most of your time playing the awful monotonous grinding

Great game, terrible company. They revoked my key over a mistake and were so sh*tty with me about it I will never buy one of their products again.

I think you were playing a different game to me. There is far less of the generic "kill x" missions in this than any other mmo ive played.
If you get more than 10 hours out of this you've done well for the money.

The MMO has a few unique features going for it. Some of the missions are really good and require some investigation.
