The fighting mechanics are very solid. I don't really do online gaming so I've mainly been working through the single-player modes and enjoying it. It's a fun game that to me feels closer to SFII (still the gold standard) than SFIV did.
It's an irritation that you have to earn points to unlock a lot of the characters and stages, though. It will require quite a bit of playing if you want to get the entire roster and extras (costumes, etc.).

do you need ps+ to unlock them? like fifa 17. annoyed me so much that i sold my fifa.

you get 16 characters and can then pay to get the rest or 100,000 points to buy each one. Apparently compleating the story on easy gets you 10,000 points so thats 10 times to unlock one. That does seem like a pain but not as bad as that review makes out
