I played the demo on steam with xbox 1s pad but the handling is so annoying even without the pad.

There is a massive learning curve with the pad on consoles, I agree. I actually purchased it physically when it was first released but soon sold it (within a matter of weeks) due to the inability to even stay on the track. I purchased it a few months later on PlayStation 4 digitally to force myself to get to grips with it. Once you do, it really is such a great simulation racing game. Unfortunately it's let down with its lack of depth in the career mode.
But I genuinley do think it's one of the better sim racing games of late

I kind of agree with Buzz but when the game first came out I believe it wasn't designed to be played with a controller, the game has always been fantastic with a wheel.

I would recommend that anyone considering this should try the Pagani Edition, which is free on Steam first. This demo of sorts was released quite recently and a long time after the original release, so there has been plenty of time to sort out control issues. I am a fan of games like Gran Turismo, Forza and Dirt Rally and I am used to playing with a controller but with all of the assists off. Nonetheless, I couldn't bear to play Project CARS and took it off my "to buy" list. The mixed reviews on the Pagani Edition show that many others had a similar experience. Apparently, my frustration may have been down getting used to the tyres warming up, but I found the accelerator overly sensitive even with the sensitivity all the way down and still gave uncontrollable spins and slides.

Graphics are good, track selection is good but scale and dimensions are off. It's fun, graphically cool but it doesn't compete with Assetto Corsa, iracing or rfactor 2 for simulation.

It was in this month's monthly bundle. Is it too late for people to sign up for it?
