Came across these 3 1/2 minute chicken pukka pies 2pk for 99p. I thought it was a decent enough deal to post. They can also be cooked in the oven according to the instructions if you prefer or don't have a microwave but obviously takes longer.

Have had these from Iceland when on a deal and they are not a patch on the puff pastry ones by Pukka pies and more likely a cheaper lesser quality option they produce.

Depends if you prefer shortcrust or puff pastry really. Although they can be cooked in the microwave, I prefer the oven. I think for under 50p per pie it's value for money and It's these 3 1/2 minute pukka pies that are distributed to pubs up and down the country so they must be doing something right.

Chicken Balti pies are a winner, shire pies used to sell them at a Tesco but stopped. The only place I get them from now is when I go to West Bromwich Albion games. It's a regular at football grounds up and down the country!

These should be called chicken soup with the slight possibility of a small trace of chicken pies.

Had one last night, I had about 12-15 chunks of chicken inside, not word of a lie, the most meat I've had in a pie for a long time. These are impressiv, I shall be stocking up on my next visit!

You should check Morrisons if you have one near you. Yesterday My nearest branch (Haverfordwest) had the Chicken Balti ones included in the offer they have on at the moment.

These are the Frozen Hollands chicken Balti pies your referring too I gather. I have seen these but didn't fancy them as Hollands pies are usually lacking quality in comparison to Pukka pies or Shire pies.

I used to have Peter's balti slices, these were from the local corner shop and were impressive, good quality meat and great flavours (albeit 20 year ago!). Haven't tried too many of their items recently but ASDA have now taken them on.
... Feel much better now.

I have tried these pies and I found them very nice, I did however cook them in the microwave for longer than stated.. Good price at 99p
