They’re Micro. They’re Machines. And they’re BACK!
Micro Machines World Series will retain the manic social game play of the classic series, but will bring a new dimension to the experience with stunning HD visuals – taking you to the much-loved household environments as they’ve never been seen before.
As well as bringing to you the classic game modes like Race and Elimination, Micro Machines World Series will introduce a new style of game play to the series: Battle Mode. The all-new Battle Arenas will allow you to wreak mass destruction on a miniature scale against your friends or the AI. Meanwhile, Team Play lets you work together using your vehicles’ unique skills with modes such as ‘King of the Hill’ or ‘Capture the Flag’!
The game’s been designed around fun and frantic play at every turn, meaning there will never be a dull moment on the racetrack or in the arena. Micro Machines World Series is the ultimate pick-up-and-play experience for players of all ages and abilities, offering intuitive, easy-to-learn controls that make the controller impossible to put down.

It's a racing game by Codemasters. I wouldn't worry.

I agree with this http://mygameslounge.com/latest-gaming-news/micro-machines-world-series-is-coming/ that it seems perfect for Switch (and would also add 3DS). I would not rule it out at all appearing on a Nintendo console in the next year. I am interested to see if the game uses split screen, or the traditional try and run your opponents of the screen. This was never ideal as you couldn't see what was coming if you were close to the edge of the scrolling yourself. These methods of local multiplayer are the one drawback to this game in the past. On handheld consoles like 3DS/Switch, there is opportunity to all have your own screen in local multiplayer, which is a big benefit with lots of games.
Online multiplayer should be high quality, whatever system you play it on of course, 12 players at a time will be frantic fun.

There still no in-game gameplay yet? Hopefully it's top down like the old games.

Think it's worrying when a game is close to release before any actual gameplay.

Exactly my point. If it were like the old games then £20 is a steal... But I would like to actually see some gameplay.
