wasn't going to post this deal, but after stopping off at garage,
and seeing price for coal and logs in forecourt, starting to
think supermarkets and garages just price on roll of dice
other options, thanks to cockers
3 bags in Wickes is £7.98 at the moment, so can save a little more if you need/want in quantities of 3

This is the normal price in Countrywide stores so not voting hot or cold although 6 10kg bags would be easier to handle than 3 20kg bags

v good price. Out of curiosity, can I use coal in a modern log burner? Also how long would 10kgs last me? assuming usage every evening

hi amsieg not sure in regards to your log burner query,
but I do know they also had 10kg bags of blazers fuel logs for £3.99
or the same weight but £3.49 for the softwood logs ,a regular price at b&m
I didn't post the deal as the people on hukd would complain its not new deal

Is it just a log burner or a multifuel ? Mine is a multifuel so coal(smokeless) is no issue for me but you should check your model to see if it's compatible; coal/smokeless burns hotter than logs so you need to ensure your burner can take the extra heat. As for how long it will last, depends on the size of your burner and how much you put on, but probably just coal and no other fuel, a day or two at the most.
Hope that helps
