Found this in John Lewis Southampton in-store, could well be national but a clearance line. Popped in for a look and ended up spending £300+! The keyboard's RRP is £34.99; JL were doing them for £15 and had quite a few left, brand new and sealed. Reviews are solid (but not perfect, seems to be more from people trying to use them as office/heavy-duty units) but seem to be better made than the Logitech K400 - I will probably go back and buy another once I've had a play with the first one. Couldn't see it online but Microsoft link is here: https://www.microsoft.com/accessories/en-gb/products/keyboards/all-in-one-media-keyboard/n9z-00006
If you are popping in there were other deals worth a look - I got a Samsung C430W colour laser printer for £35 (open box) and a UE Roll 2 for £25 (missing box and manuals). Stacks of Samsung-branded cases for Galaxy S5 and Tabs if you like manufacturer-branded stuff, lots of reduced TVs. Had to get out before I maxed the credit card!
Hope this helps some of you.

Sounds good, might try and pop in tomorrow... Whereabouts did you find the reduced/open box stuff? Bit scared of getting lost in there!

1st floor (not the top) in the technology bit. It (the keyboard) was just to the right of the 'pay here' technology tills on a shelf-end. Then the big clearance and ex-demo/open-box stuff was surrounding the phone and Apple bit on glass shelves or under the demo stands in the cubby holes.
Time before this I got a Samsung Galaxy Tab S2 9.7 for £175 and a Lenovo MIIX 300 detachable tablet with keyboard for £65.

I think this is better than the Logitech K400 and K400+. I have the K400 and the Microsoft and the keyboard feels better quality. Ergonomics and Aesthetics are both better IMHO. Will go and see if my local John Lewis has one... or two...

It really is.
Logitech keyboards are garbage in general any way.

What about PageUp & PageDown? They look awkward to get to with the Function key on the keys... can you assign PgUp & PgDwn as gestures on the touchpad?

Had them both and I like the Logitech one better as it's more responsive, durable and doesn't have range issues. So I returned the Microsoft one

Logitech is Bluetooth and works with Amazon Fire Stick. Microsoft won't work.

Which Logitech? Because I also have a couple of K400 keyboards and they use a 2.4Ghz Unifying receiver as well.

There are some of these in the office here, though I haven't managed to bag one for myself yet I do like them.
Word is that they are manufactured for Microsoft by Trust, and the Trust version of this is much expensive (Veza £23).

You are right. Neither have bluetooth. Thought the k400 did for some reason.
