Mainly movies and Internet, if the gaming side works without a pc or xbox then I will make use of that.
Has this got usb otg?
Could i use this to send books over to a kindle?

It's a full blown Windows device. OTG will be supported. For your usage this or an Android tablet would suffice to be honest.

The tablet itself is OK - I had the earlier Linx 8 and it was fine for a bit of light gaming (8-10 year-old PC games worked at acceptable frame rates) and probably worth about £60-£80 on its own...
Going by what others have said about the comfort of the controller however, I would probably avoid...
A bluetooth controller like this might be better placed around your tablet of choice:
