Did 3d take off? I invested in it about six years ago, but only found it to be a gimmick. Let me know what 3d sources you regularly use. So maybe I can give it a try.

Some people like it (like myself) and others aren't interested. It's a fair point when it comes to LG though as it has the best 3D system (passive 3D) but their LCD tv's aren't quite as highly rated as Samsung for 2D.
Obviously there is a huge amount of 3D material out there if you want it. 3D blu-rays, 3D material to stream, 3D on youtube, 3D drivers for most pc games, playstation 3.
Also for those who have 3D camera's like myself who wish to display both 3D images and video they have done themselves.
Certainly a huge amount of material compared to 4k or hdr but irrelevant if you don't actually like 3D.
I'm so into 3D I even use the virtual 3D feature of my tv and slide it right up to 10. Only works well on cartoons and games though mainly. Some fast moving films look good where you have car chases or other chase scenes where the virtual 3D processing can pick out foreground and background information easily because of the movement. Doesn't do a lot for eastenders or antiques roadshow.

Think people sohuld be aware the upscaling is poor on this set - might be a deal breaker for many until 4k broadcasts arrive :-

The KU6400 picture quality looks far superior to my eye, colours looked vibrant on the Samsung and washed out on the LG, worth the extra £130 over this set.

Thank you. I'd rather pay the extra £130. The Samsung was £499 at Richer Sounds but they are out of stock but say they are getting more as the group has a shipment en route.

heat. I have this and am very impressed. Coming from a samsung which failed to turn on although did have better colour quality. I would opt for LG for cheaper option but its personal choice.

I have this to, good smart features, poor connectivity, picture quality is rubbish, good price but go for a Samsung. Heat added for price but that's about it
