LG make panels, actually make them, not just bodge them together from old Frankenstein parts. LG make panels for 'leading' brands that charge 6k+ for their TVs. Do sum research before ur artic voting on price alone.

Richer sounds seems to have proper product info on this precise model if anyone is buying. The combined Amazon listing makes this TV damn confusing since there's variations in ports and whatnot across models. LG user manual PDF isn't particularly helpful on spec either.
HD ready-ness aside it sounds from reviewers like the panel they've used is relatively decent. Can't find any 'real' panel spec info apart from 8ms response time - so hopefully IPS or VA.

Does anyone recommend a 32" smart tv around or under £200?

Just so people are aware this is HD Ready and not full HD. In this day and age I wouldn't pay that sort of price for a TV that's not full HD but thats just my opinion. For something like a kids bedroom like you say I sure it'd suffice but I'm not voting either way

I paid 110 for a 21 inch pc monitor last year. another 30 quid for a 28 inch smart tv.. no brainer! will put a firestick with kodi in the back as well so will get everything

full hd is really noticable from 32 inch for watching normal tv

You wont notice the difference between a full HD (1080p) and 720p (HD ready) TV at this size. Bigger TV yes, but this is only 28 inches.

Received mine yesterday after being on back order for a week.Very impressed by the picture quality.I don`t see the need for 1080p on a 28 inch tv for kitchen or bedroom use.
Smart functions seem easy to use although i will only be using iplayer

I received mine today for the bedroom and I'm really impressed. I shopped around and at this price it was a no brainer.
And it does have freeview. It also has the Netflix, Amazon prime, now tv, iplayer and 5 on demand apps plus some others. Took minutes to set up.
I know people are concerned that it isn't full hd but to be honest if I didn't know that I wouldn't have noticed. The picture is fab.

Does it come with USB? LG are normally good for USB playback and will play most files just a shame it's 720 and not full

I paid £89 last year for a full HD seiki 24in with USB record function and built in freeview. Rated cold.

fair enough. Still prefer the LG though as has Netflix amazon and youtube built in so will keep the kids busy on rainy days
okay its £180 not £160, but £40 more, and Currys are a rip off anyway, so if you look around probably get it cheaper.

was about to spend £260 on a 32 inch sony for the bedroom - wondering if this makes more sense, will the smaller size make a huge diff i wonder?

I've got a 32 inch philips that's about 10 years old I was gonna use but found its not got a hdmi on it so can't. it's 780p as well and the picture quality is fine. at 140 ths lg makes a lot of sense for a bedroom tv. LG stuff.is well built, also have a 42 inch one that's 7 now and been faultless

its 28", how is 720p really a problem

its not about that, if this was £50, fair enough, but for £140, for an extra £20 you could buy a Samsung 32" 1080p TV.
TVs are meant to last 10 years, why would you pay similar price to a 1080p monitor for less quality and which is essentially outdated tech.

Yes but if using as a monitor then 720p isn't ideal. 720p v 1080p if used on a TV this size isn't noticeable really, but that's quite a lot a screen real estate lost for a monitor

It doesn't come with a USB but there are two USB ports. I'll be using my firestick. I haven't tried but you can attach an external harddrive and it supports divX files amongst others. Hope that helps
