Think original rrp last year was £70, Lego increased prices at the start of the year.

Been a lot of discounts on Technic in the last 6 months; this has been below £50 a couple of times, including down to £41 on Tesco and Amazon just before Xmas.

Yes, probably cheaper when Tesco had 1/3 off, but that won't be happening again anytime soon

It's a good set, my 9 year old has built it this week, and then rebuilt it once he realised the battery pack doesn't just attach to the outside somewhere! Think we paid around £50 just before xmas.

I got this on the £41 Tesco deal before christmas as a present for my son. He really enjoyed building it, and the hydraulic system is really well done, you can pump air into the hydraulics and adjust the arms and bucket for lifting via switches on the rear. You can also attach the Lego Power Functions to it, these are not included and may be of interest to some.
The one complaint, but don't let it put you off, is that the front legs that lift the vehicle off the ground are not very secure and do drop with some pressure applied. All in all it was a great introduction to Lego Technic, and we would very definitely recommend getting it.
