it's a bit of an oddity this set - not too clear what the pieces map onto; I guess it's on its way out now with the new iconic set (traditional!)

Hmmm yes I guess so. Personally I don't like the Iconic one - looks a bit pants! Thanks for the heads up OP. Already have one and have bought another for the bits and the board - anyone after base plates this comes with loads! £23 a good price for them plus the 20 minifig pirates and soldiers are fun :smiley:

Map onto? Do you mean the bases? Its the 2x2 with the space in the centre of the bottom.
