RRP 699£, has been sold for £399 earlier, now only £349 for an amazing pair of floor standers.
Just bought myself a pair today from Superfi.co.uk
Also available for same price from PeterTyson.co.uk
With the Q series, KEF have developed a range of high quality, high value speakers. The KEF Q500s are two and a half way floorstanding speakers with incredible performance. They are fitted with KEF's point source Uni-Q drivers for medium and high frequencies and a long throw bass driver for low frequencies- enhanced by a pair of auxiliary bass radiators.
The Uni-Q mid/high frequency speaker has a 130mm bass/mid-range driver and a 25mm aluminium dome tweeter with 'tangerine' waveguide. The low frequency long throw bass driver and auxiliary bass radiators are also 130mm diameter.
Other clever features include the link switch for choosing between mono and bi-amping. Turn it clockwise and the two terminals are linked so you can drive the speaker from one amp: anti-clockwise and the terminals are split so you can connect the high frequency and low frequency separately.

They look pretty smart, are you pleased with them?
I suspect the bone of contention here is that Richer have them for the same price with the 6 year guarantee.

Have not opened them at home yet, because I am waiting for delivery of my new Amp hopefully Monday.
But I did try them at superfi, London today.....absolutely fell in love with them and for the price in my opinion completely throw away.
Unfortunately RicherSounds do not have them in stock for delivery anymore. I checked with them first ....only three shops have some stock left which were quite far from me.

Been this price for a couple of months. Not expecting it to stay discounted for much longer. peter Tyson have the black ones for 349 too. I've had my eye on them for a while, but not sure whether to go for these or the Dali Zensor 5s in RS. Any audiophiles advice would be appreciated, only ever owned a Sony 5.1 5.1 kit before so no clue about floorstanders.

In my opinion if you intend on using them at some point for a 5.1. Then I would go for the Kef Q series as the uni q tech means the sound travels a wider angle and there for less dead spots in the room. Plus they have won shed loads of awards with use as a 5.1 too
