Just to add weight to how good these little speakers are, both sound and build quality. I got them cheap as refurbished units and I wasn't expecting much, but I was pleasantly surprised. You can't go wrong at this kind of price and I am sure you won't be disappointed with them, assuming you can find any.
I also have a Flip 2 and a further Flip 3. The best sound for music, to my ears, is the Flip 2 of all of them. The Flip 3 is loud, but sounds a bit flat. There is the possibility though that it is because it is a refurbished unit and perhaps that's why it was returned. Not sure, but I only use it to listen to audiobooks and so it is irrelevant.
Wouldn't hesitate to recommend this range. Don't know how it compares to others though.

Reckon you got a bit of a dud there. I have a Flip 3 and it sounds really good. As with nearly all budget bluetooth speakers, a few little EQ tweaks can help improve the sound.
