IT’S TIME TO SWIPE A SURPRISE
LET’S SEE WHAT YOU’VE WON
Eligible Entrants may participate at IKEA stores in Southampton, Bristol, Cardiff, Warrington, Manchester, Birmingham, Coventry, Belfast, Glasgow, Edinburgh, Gateshead, Leeds, Milton Keynes, Lakeside, Wembley, Nottingham, Reading;
Stores not Participating
Edmonton, Croydon and all Order and Collection Points.
Why the three stores are not participating I was told once by a store Staff at Edmonton was because these are Franchise Stores.
Each time you swipe your IKEA FAMILY card at the till, you’ll get a special barcode printed on your receipt. Tap the number in here and let’s see which lovely surprise you’ve won!
Its simple all you new to this
All you have to do is purchase something and make sure you swipe your Family Card(Free to all). Once you have your receipt there will be a unique number at the bottom.
Take it to the Swipeable/printable screen and login then go to the screen to Swipe A Surprise and if there is a scanner on that Kiosk you can just scan it or simply type it and press the button on screen to see what you have won.
What can you win
PRIZES

11.1 1 of 17 trips to Sweden (including £500 spending money), one prize to be won in each store.
11.2 1 of 17 Swedish cooking classes for four in your own home, one prize to be won in each store.
11.3 1 of 17 spa stays for one night for four adults, one prize to be won in each store.
11.4 1 of 85 IKEA Gift Cards (17x £1000, 17x £750, 17x £500, 17x £150 and 17x £50 available);
11.5 1 of c.130,350 selected IKEA products priced between £0.95 and £50.
11.6 1 of c.2,338 money off vouchers (ranging between £5 and £20);
11.7 1 of c.8,148 Swedish Food Market vouchers (£5 and £10 vouchers available); and
11.8 1 of c.394,456 IKEA Restaurant vouchers (ranging between a free donut and a dinner for four).
Well what do you loose.
1) Nothing if you were going for the sake of purchasing something anyway.
2) Gain 5p if you wanted a Donut anyway as it is 30p.
Only If you purchase a dish brush which cost 25p.
This is because you are guaranteed a prize on every purchase even if it s for 25p.
NOTE ***** You are allowed only one code entry per day.
######
NOTE if you win anything that you will need to go to a main tills for you will get another code. So if you have more than one prize to claim it is best to get them scanned separately. As this will give you one code per prize. Please note if you go to self scan you will need to call for assistance to get the prize authorised, best to go attended cashier if you have more than one prize. Or just Queue up again your choice.
If you have more than one item to purchase and it is not too much hassle it is best to transact them separately to get different codes. You never know there could be a great prize hiding in it.
Last but not Least GOOD LUCK.

Then I realised that the food which they sell inside the store(not Restaurant, Shop or Bistro) can also be purchased and still get a code. So this is what I did.... this will now not only save space for unwanted goods but also still give a chance to win things.
As per conkered comment who won £500 from £4+ spend on the last draw it can be done. Some one did win a holiday once.

You sure? They seem to have a page about it (I could be wrong, though)
Almost all IEKA stores worldwide are franchised, most by INGKA Holding.

The Edinburgh one's definitely franchised - and it always has had the swipe promotions in the past. I've been lucky to have won a king size quilt cover set, a metal set of kitchen utensils - and many doughnuts!

Thanks for pointing it out. Apologies for doing it....
The top list of participating stores is from their T&C's list so this is confirmed list.
The non participating was me filtering all their stores from the participating stores list. When I was going through it I missed MK and put it as not participating.
If you have lots of things to purchase, make sure all the adults who can get hold of the Family card get it and split the items between them plus if you are already in the store, there is nothing going to stop you to purchase one item per transaction specially if you go to self scan. The staff wont mind.
Good Luck

Thank you! Also, 'you are only allowed one code entry per day' does this mean you can only claim one prize per day? Thanks x

It's time once again for Ikea to contribute to the obesity issues of the UK.
Cheap shoddy hot dog can now be washed down with a free cheap shoddy donut!
At the same time the can also claim how great they are because they now only do cheap shoddy sugar free drinks. Not overly bothered that the sugar was the only thing that made it bearable before.

Ikea. The physical representation of Hell On Earth. Visited once, never again. Having to go through the whole [not allowed to swear] store just to look at one thing and then have to keep going until the tills and exit? No thanks.

Intriguing. The one in Edinburgh has short cut routes if you want to get to the tills asap.
