I would assume yes, they are stainless steel - I don't see how can they not get as hot as the rest of it.

Hi, I don't understand the dimensions on this. Is 32cm the diameter? What is the height please, can anyone help?

32cm would be the diameter yes. This is a very large stockpot, most are 24cm or 28cm diameter - this one has the width of a large frying pan. Probably too big for most people but it can be handy to have a massive stockpot to hand in case you need to feed an army.
