Similar decision by me. I have the XFX Rx480 black edition from laptop direct for £232 (after which? Trial discount) plus postage (cancelled out by topcashback)

Amazon do frustrate me. I've had this card on my wishlist for some time - and now it seems there's two listings, both with an identical model number, but slightly different measurements/weight etc, but both sold by Amazon. Can anyone see a difference here between this deal and the link below (price aside!)? Surely there shouldn't be one since it has the same model number?
It's not the first time I've noticed this either. They have two versions of several i5 CPUs as well, again both sold by Amazon, but sometimes the price can vary greatly! It makes the concept of having a wishlist for certain items to check pointless as you end up having to re-search Amazon over and over in case there's new versions of the exact same product!
Ok, rant over

I was thinking the same thing about taking a bite now and either getting 1060 6GB or 480 8GB . Or wait for next gen architecture whenever they arrive, I am on a 7602GB its not terrible can play GTA5 at 1080 on everythibng turned to High at solid 62fps Vsync , but I dunno what to do , arn't the Vega release gooing to be super expensive competing with gtx 1080/ti end ??

The 480 8gb offers identical performance in most games while being better future proofing throught better compatibility through DX12 and Vulcan. Freesync monitors are cheaper than gsync and ReLive is as good as shadow play.

10% faster than a 970 according to this.
Guess I'll wait for a 1070 to come up.

I am keeping an eye on a full spec 480 or 1060 for a long time. Still temping to get a 1070 though. Maybe I should wait till March for Vega.
