I'm sorry, I love Futurama, but please not. The later seasons simply didn't match up to the earlier ones and it's good that it ended when it did.

I do think £20 for the whole series on DVD is awesome but this boxset looks awful.
Probably a non issue for many but I'd rather have the episodes sitting on a hard drive than pay money for this effort.

did they make this on Blu-ray? I have season 1-4 on DVD and 5 on Blu-ray but would be tempted by the whole lot of it was there

Season 1-4 were only ever released on DVD. According to the producers, season 5 was actually the straight-to-DVD/Blu-ray movies, season 6 constitutes what is considered seasons 5 and 6 in this box set, and season 7 constitutes what is considered seasons 7 and 8 in this box set. It appears that the production season 5 is not included in this box set. There were four movies in season 5, the first two only got DVD releases while the last two got DVD and Blu-ray releases. I'm not certain but I'm fairly sure the all of the movies were available in HD on streaming or download services, and they were definitely broadcast on TV in HD. Seasons 6 and 7 got DVD and Blu-ray releases.
All in all this seems like a really bad box set; it's not the complete series as it so claims since it's missing the movies. Unless I'm missing something, there's actually only 124 episodes in this box set, not 125 as it claims which doesn't add up. I can't understand why anyone would buy something on DVD when it exists in HD quality. Most of the reviews of this box set are bad, saying it's poor quality casing.
Steer well clear if you're a real fan.

Its not cheap on blu-ray - I managed to find "season" 8 for £12 - they are really half seasons i.e. its just the 2nd half of the last broadcast season. Given that cartoons normally look OK up-scaled this is a bargain price in comparison. An alternative is to get them from streaming services in HD.

On Futurama itself, I really enjoyed the 1st 4 series but it's gone a bit downhill since imo.
