I have a pair of Endura trousers made from the same fabric - it's not the most breathable but it's kept me dry through the last 6 months of cycle commuting in Glasgow. If the jacket's as well cut as the trousers it'll be brilliant.
Ordered one for my daughter. Wish they had one for me.

Hi Viz is out of stock and mint is horrible.
It could do with more reflective bits but if you've got lights on it's fine for cycling.
Odd that nobody insists cars are painted in fluorescent colours.

It's been proven that the colour is not as important as the contrast between the clothing and it's background so depends on the environment it's being used in, time of day etc. Not as clear cut as you'd first believe

If you're trying to convince yourself that black is okay, because you think it looks better, then fine, each to their own.
But there aren't many circumstances where this will make you more visible than something high viz....
