The lidl one all day long, decent bargain that one, the duratool is about right in price - will do for the basics but like I say, for comparison it's the lidl one

Pretty sexist, as the media have told us - women are great at multi-tasking. In this case she is able to solder and cope with the searing pain of holding a 350C soldering iron with her bare hands. How many of you guys could do that?

the lidl one will be in store.
duratool is CPC/farnell own brand, I personally don't think there's anything wrong with it.
I've a lot of their stuff and it's a good price and available 12 months a year.
the lidl stuff is available as one off special offers usually good value for money, with a 3 yr guarantee, there website has a section where you can download instruction manuals for virtually every electrical item they have ever sold.

Thank you
I also buy a lot from cpc, usually quite good, haven't had any problems, haven't bought a soldering iron before, so don't know much
will pop into lidl during the week and have a look
That's the URL for the Lidl one. It's no longer on their website but plenty available in stores as of yesterday when I dropped in.

I guess these are Chinese? Anyone like me could get away with one of these cheapo ones.
I paid around £16 for my Antex XS 25 over 3 years ago, hardly use it really, however, I try to buy British Company made products where I can regardless of the cost.
