Anyway bargain for a basic rechargeable screwdriver for doing basic jobs. Don't expect to put up your TV wall bracket, but for basic diy, flatpack nightmares and those odd jobs its a must for the toolbox.

waste of money. You'll end up doing any tightening by hand and the second time you get it out to use the batteries will have died. If you need an electric screwdriver get a lithium battery powered one with plenty of torque. If you can't justify the outlay then stick with a manual screwdriver. Anything else is money down the drain (from my many experiences)

A) This is a £3.99 electric screwdriver, why are you expecting it'll move mountains?

Ni-Cd battery I believe, in which case you need to be careful with charging to avoid killing the capacity.

yep its not a top make or top quality, but for £3.99 i think its worth it for the little jobs.
I used one for flat pack assembly and for stripping down computer cases

I have one and it's a great little thing. Just make sure you use half decent bits in it as the one supplied is rubbish.

just trying to save people money from personal experience. I wasted a few hundred pounds on tools before I learnt that.

great to use, I just got one for my flat refurbishment and it put screw into steel studs with ease

Thanks OP For a few Quid more (Movie title lol) Screwdriver, Ikea li-ion FIXA £6.95 & 9 Bits with it.
Yes is £3 more but its a li-ion battery and good quality for the price, No I do not work for Ikea. These are mass produced and sell in the thousands which is why they can sell them so cheaply. More than enough for a little light screwing !

rather have a manual ratchet driver myself, will last a lifetime and actually serve a purpose.
That said, this will make a great toy for the boy (3 yo).

Great for furniture assembly etc but cant imagine this will be much good for building a fence or anything which requires large amounts of torque. Still for £3.99 its cheap for what it is

These are in the same category as a sandwich toaster and a George Formby grill
and probably end up being stored unused in the same cupboard.
