I'm sure most people on here eat ready meals, take away Curry's etc. , or eat in restaurants, and have no idea where the Chicken they are eating comes from. So baffled why it matters now. Also the majority of the frozen chicken portions sold in our shops is also foreign yet there seems to be a mass market for that.

i usethe fresh chicken from iceland regardless off country and is fresh , and plump better than some of the supermarkets and this is a good price as it works out £4 a kilo

I care about country of origin due to welfare standards. Also other countries use far more growth hormones etc. A lot of iceland food comes ready packaged straight from Asia. I worked in import control at Southampton docks!

I will certainly be stocking up the freezer..The same rules applies for animal welfare for all Eu countries. So don't think the chickens are treated any worse on the continent. Also British chicken has got a high levels of Campylobacter. That goes for all supermarkets.

Quorn chicken pieces in morissons for £1/300g - I think it tastes better than the cheap chicken and it definitely soaks up flavour better. Also no campylobacter

this is not nice chicken. I bought a load last time this off was one and ended up cooking it for the dog.

It is cheap hence I tried this chicken a few times (without knowledge or interest in its origins) and I too couldn't understand why it has an oddly tough texture and little flavour. Not good chicken.

I suspect Class A means fit for human consumption and Class B means dog food.
