Google books are in ePub format and cannot be read on a kindle unless converted. The google books may also have drm (digital rights protection) on them which has to be removed.
Calibre book management software (free) is a brilliant way of organising and side loading books onto ereaders etc but it does not remove the protection. However plugins for calibre are available (apprentice Alf) that do.

I'm guessing it could be account specific, but I've never purchased a Google Book. Maybe that's why I'm seeing it.

Probably a stupid question, but can you download & read Google Books on a Kindle Fire? I have an android phone, which means I do get these offers in my gmail account, but don't fancy reading a whole book on my smart phone.

I'm seeing the offer, but not seeing the opportunity to redeem. Is there a code I need to enter?
It just comes up with the "buy" button, an no dropdown about an offer as shown in the image above.
I'm guessin that if I wasn't eligible, I wouldn't see the offer being made?

Any recommendations?
I've read Ready Player One, Hobbit, the Jack Reacher ones - anything in that list that would complement those books?
Ah... so I get offered the offer on the books page, but it's not actually something I can use.
Slick. Sigh. Never mind, heat added for those than CAN use this! Thanks OP.
