I've got a pair of Berghaus Expeditors - which is why I'm checking them! I want another pair. Mens size 10. They are the most comfortable walking boot I've ever had, just thought I'd give a wee endorsement
I did 18 miles in them at the weekend, same as most weekends, all very padded & nice plus they are not showing any wear really

Looks can be deceiving. I've had a pair of Berghaus Explorer Trek boots for about 8 years and they still don't let any water in! I've been hill walking, hiking and all sorts in them (even a few quick dips in the sea!) - providing you don't completely submerge your feet for a prolonged period, you will stay dry due to the waterproof membrane.

Is it just me or is their returns policy a bit mean?
"Returns Using Hermes
The simplest and most convenient way is to use a pre-paid Hermes returns label for just £1.99, which you add to your order in the checkout.
...
If you did not buy a Hermes returns - don’t worry, you can still take advantage of this service by going to http://www.hermesparcelreturn.co.uk and purchasing a label then drop it off at a Parcel Shop £2.99"

My other half has some and she says they do let a bit of water in when walking through boggy ground.
My Scarpa on the other hand are nearly ten years old and are ridiculously water proof...I dont even bother trying to avoid streams and puddles. They were £90 though I suppose.

unfair criticism imv - why should they pay for returns? if it's faulty, they would pay - if you change your mind or get your size wrong, YOU pay, totally fair
