Yeah, good luck getting more than 5 minutes out of a couple of AA batteries.

I tried it with some 2300 mah rechargeable batteries and it charged from 22% to 96%, that will do me for back up.

True but the rechargeable ones can run out of juice and don't hold their charge if left sitting around for weeks. These would be a life saver in a power cut or something to keep in the boot of your car maybe, going camping etc. At least if you have batteries you can charge your phone wherever you are where electrical sockets aren't available.

Fair point with decent re-chargeables, but then if you are buying this AND re-chargeables, why not just get a dedicated powerbank ?
A lot of people will just use this with disposable zinc/alkaline AA batteries, so defeating the point a bit ?
