No. Amazon pay all of the tax that the law requires them to. If they paid more then their shareholders would sue them. The real problem here is with the tax laws that our politicians are responsible for - in this case responsible for giving responsibility for tax domicile law to the EU, which is why Amazon is domiciled there for tax purposes. This will change of course once our politicians are once more responsible for our laws - politicians who we can throw out if they don't act in our interests. Furthermore, Amazon invest so much in building infrastructure that their profits are minimal - you can't tax profits that don't exist. I hope these common facts help inform you better.

Well that's incredibly naive. It's not the EU's fault that the Tories are deliberately defunding the NHS so they can sell it to their mates. Nor is it the EU's fault that homelessness and poverty have risen dramatically over the past few years. The EU has never stopped the UK collecting taxes from Amazon. They could operate anywhere else in the world and still avoid UK tax. The EU, which we joined freely, and of which we were an integral part (with voting rights and the full power of veto) was only ever a bogeyman conjured-up by billionaire media barons with vested interests. You were played, and now we're all gonna have to suffer the consequences.

Not even worth looking really though is it with the UK pound so weak against the dollar ever since brexit. Used to import lots now electronics seem to just be expensive. Sorry if seems bitter. But since brexit we are just worse off. People will start to realise this. Sooner really the better, it's better to tighten belts now as later economic pain I think will bite.

How exactly is this supposed to work?
If I search for a game or Blu-Ray that I know is available and sold by Amazon.com it still doesn't show up?
Still holding off though until Trump implements a nice British-American trade agreement and maybe then we'll get better prices.

You will still be liable for HMRC VAT and tax on imported goods ... trade agreement (IF it happens) is about not applying tariffs - totally different topic. I guess we will also pay tax & VAT on EU imported goods too...

Patience old chap! Patience! Give things a chance - it'll take a while to re-establish our democracy properly after forty years of being inveighled in to the EU (starting as the Common Market, before becoming the EEC, followed by the EC, followed by the EU, followed by...), especially with all the democracy hating remoaniacs doing their pretty little nuts!

There's no UKIP rant in what I said! Which bit of it is untrue? Perhaps calling that a UKIP rant tells is about your position too! Before you ask, I did vote Leave - precisely because I'm sick of our politicians saying we can't do this or that because of the EU - once we're out they won't have that excuse and might, might, do what the people they supposedly serve wish them to. We shall see.

I don't think there actually is a global 'store' you just shop in whatever department your looking for and on the left hand side there's an option for global store items
This comment started out so positively.....a lot of it's factually true but when it started turning into a UKIP rant I lost interest.

Who'd of thought there'd be a Brexiter and a Remainer arguing about nothing on a deals site?
6 months on and what has changed? Seems to be nothing and unecessary energy arguing when not concentrating on the things that matter in this country.
Amazon do nothing against the law in regards to paying tax in this country. Their customer service is exemplary. And whether you like it or not they do contribute massively to the economy.
Companies like eBay and Facebook are the ones that provide nothing tangible yet very rarely get criticised for their blatant tax evasion.
Christ - eBay don't even pay VAT in this country LOL!!

Wow. I'm not convinced you have a full grasp of Amazon's tax situation or the EU (there's a surprise!). The idea that Amazon's "infrastructure" eats all their profit is ludicrous.
