Plasticky lol.
Have a black one in my hand and it has a high build quality. Just as solid as the wifes iphone 6 plus. I had a redmi note 3 which was a poor build quality imo as it creaked and flexed due to plastic top and bottom but this is all alloy and is
Solid.

I'm looking to replace my Samsung Note 4 (faulty mobo) - has anyone got any suggestions for phones with removable batteries? That's a must and severely limits my options.

Another Note 4? I'm currently on the Note 4, and coming up for an upgrade, but literally nothing on the market takes my fancy. Premium or chinese special, none seem to be worth the move.

any phone and a power bank?
I don't see an advantage of a removable battery, even none removable batteries can be replaced

Not likely after reading that the mobo failure has been around since the upgrade to MM earlier in the year. Something in the MM screwed things up and once it's done, it's done. People have tried with all kinds of ROM,s (stock, modded stock-based and custom) to no avail. I bought mine used and was really happy this week, but there's no way I'll buy another knowing there's a very good chance the same could happen.
The closest thing I've seen was the LG G5 but it's out of my price range.

Thanks for the info. I'll have a look around the net for info on this as i hadn't heard anything about it until your comment. Cheers.

If you look for threads centring around lag and reboots, you should find plenty. Just out of interest, what version are you running, Lollipop or MM?
