I'm a Nikon guy (mainly) but I use these cameras quite a bit and this is a great deal. Shutter counts are up to 180,000 on these used cameras for sale by WEX but are very well built. Definitely a great Christmas present to be had here, I'd buy one for myself if I could justify a fourth DSLR!
What else can I say Full Frame, 1080p Video, 20.9 MP, weather sealed for £519 with 12 month warranty!.

Great find OP! Pretty sure wife wouldn't notice if my 7D turned into a 5D...

you might be more upset to have to replace all your lenses though.. (assuming you're efs at the mo of course)

The "condition 7" bodies might be a bit ropey with scratched sensor etc, but a couple of hundred more fetches a much tidier "condition 9"

How the heck do you scratch a sensor?

Lol - she might not spot the difference, but I think she can count

I'd go for this one: http://www.wexphotographic.com/buy-used-canon-eos-5d-mark-ii-digital-slr-camera-body/p1609905
40,000 shots, so plenty of life left. That being said I bought a D3s from WEX a few months ago with 600,000 shots for £600! It's never bothered me that much when buying from WEX because of the warranty even though it does not cover the shutter mechanism. I don't kmow about Canon but Nikon only charge abut £200 for a shutter replacement so a high count might be worth it?

I sold my 5dmk2 3 years back as i wasn't using as much and picked up a 7dmk1, but have missed it since. Crop sensor doesn't cut it, when you've been using a full frame for years.

I get what you mean I shoot Nikon (mainly) and I have a D3s and D700 (full frame) and a crop D7100 and on a number of occasions I have been caught out shooting with just the D7100, which is a great camera for wildlife and sport but when doing portraits, still life, landscapes and street you want a full frame if you have ever used one.

Yeah the colours are quite natural, image not as crisp and require editing. From the 5D they'd be ready to use!

Nice camera, was also a Canon guy before converting to Nikon. Used the 5D for a while. Currently a Nikon D750.
